Dainty drumstick allium

Pros:
Cons:
I planted these in zone 8-9 in the late fall/winter months because they were resistant to rabbits and were low growing along a small border I had need for amidst the pansies from last fall. They are coming up now 2/20/24 as late spring varieties amidst a lot of rain here in the PNW. Look a bit frail after a long, rainy winter but I anticipate they will perk up with more sun. I also like this variety because it gives a different texture to the garden.

This is my second order of the Drum Sticks. This time I am putting them in a church garden. I had actually forgotten all about them last year. Then WOWZA! Each and every bulb produced a flower that lasted months. The height was a wonderful eye catcher in my border garden. The value was amazing for the high yield and color.

Great value for what I hope will be an unusual flower. Arrived as promised in October in packaging with helpful planting depth. Hopefully squirrels won't get them before the spring.
