It is not entirely clear who discovered the Begonias.
What is very clear is that the Begonia has captured
the hearts of people everywhere. Begonias are the most
rewarding house plants. At the beginning of the 19th
century there were 25 species of Begonias recorded,
today there are over 600. The Begonia seems to have
been cultivated in Asia since the early 14th century.
The Chinese see it as a symbol of beauty and purity,
like the rose and the lily are in the western cultures.
How to Plant Begonia Bulbs?
To plant Begonia Bulbs the bulbs should be planted with the nose of the bulb upward (or the roots facing downwards) and the Orange Double Camellia Begonia should be planted roughly 1-2" deep and 6-9" apart from one another.
Note: For some bulbs you may not be able to tell which way is up or down, in these cases just plant them on their side and they will adjust on their own.
When to Plant Orange Double Camellia Begonia?
