These minature daffodils are great for container planting but also a favorite for naturalizing in fields or borders. Their simple rounded shape and two tone coloring make them one of the cutest daffodils in our collection. Our Minnow daffodil bulbs will flower year after year.

Special Features
 

Does well in beds and borders but a must in containers! Very suitable for indoor forcing. Grows in clusters of small blooms. Very Fragrant.

Features of Species or Group:
  The narcissus tazetta is the parent of this cultivar. Originally native to the mediterranean region, especially Portugal. Corona cup shaped, very shallow. Has 4 to 8 flowers per stem.

Features of Genus:
  Daffodils are probably the best known and most widely grown of all bulbs and to many they are the true indicator of spring. They look wonderful mass planted in the garden or naturalized in grass, but they also make great pot plants and excellent cut flowers. The best known colour is yellow, but there are also flowers in shades of white, cream, orange and pink. The trumpet is often a different colour to the petals and may be bicoloured. There are many species and cultivars and the genus Narcissus has been divided into 12 groups, depending on the shape and size of the flowers.

How to Plant Yellow Daffodils?
 

To plant Yellow Daffodils the bulbs should be planted with the nose of the bulb upward (or the roots facing downwards) and the Minnow Daffodil Narcissus should be planted roughly 3" deep and 3" apart from one another.

Note: For some bulbs you may not be able to tell which way is up or down, in these cases just plant them on their side and they will adjust on their own.

When to Plant Minnow Daffodil Narcissus?
  Yellow Daffodils are normally planted Mid Fall, and most Minnow Daffodil Narcissus will begin to flower sometime in Mid Spring.
