Another interesting and unique Dahlia, the Elga Cactus Dahlia is sure to catch your eye in the garden! The thin petals of this flower start out dark purple in the center, slowly fading to white at the tips. The flower stalks grow 36-48" tall and make a wonderful cut flower.

How to Plant Dahlia Bulbs?
 

To plant Dahlia Bulbs the bulbs should be planted with the nose of the bulb upward (or the roots facing downwards) and the 'Elga' Cactus Dahlia should be planted roughly 3-4"" deep and 18-24"" apart from one another.

Note: For some bulbs you may not be able to tell which way is up or down, in these cases just plant them on their side and they will adjust on their own.

When to Plant 'Elga' Cactus Dahlia?
  Dahlia Bulbs are normally planted Mid Spring, and most 'Elga' Cactus Dahlia will begin to flower sometime in Late Summer.
