This goregous iris is unmatched by its elegant presence in the garden. The silhouette of the Professor Blauw Dutch Iris bloom looks somewhat like a bird in flight, gently drifting above the rest of the garden. The 4" flowers emerge in late spring to early summer and stay in bloom for a period of 2 to 3 weeks. To lengthen the bloom time, plant bulbs in 10 to 14 day intervals in the fall. Flower used for February Birthdays and 25th Wedding Anniversaries. Also Symbolizes faith, hope & wisdom, eloquence and deep sentiment.

How to Plant Dutch Iris Bulbs?
 

To plant Dutch Iris Bulbs the bulbs should be planted with the nose of the bulb upward (or the roots facing downwards) and the Professor Blauw Dutch Iris should be planted roughly 5-6" deep and 3-4" apart from one another.

Note: For some bulbs you may not be able to tell which way is up or down, in these cases just plant them on their side and they will adjust on their own.

When to Plant Professor Blauw Dutch Iris?
  Dutch Iris Bulbs are normally planted fall, and most Professor Blauw Dutch Iris will begin to flower sometime in Mid Spring.
