Royal Delft Royal Delft, established in 1653, is the last remaining Delftware factory from the 17th century, still producing entirely handmade Delftware. Royal Delft has received international reknown thanks to it's Delft Blue. This Delft invention whereby blue is applied in a myriad of nuances, dates back to the 17th century. The patterns originate in Chinese porcelain. Delft Blue Delft Blue is the name for products that are decorated in blue on a white background. The motifs find their roots in the Chinese porcelain from the Ming and Kang Hsi Dynasties. Typical Dutch land- and seascapes have also been commonly used motifs ever since the 17th century. |  |
