Freesia is a popular summer flower, in part due to their pleasant scent. They have sword shaped leaves and up to 8 flowers per stem. They flower for 10-12 weeks and have a long vase life! These flowers do well in containers and make lovely cut flowers, especially for creating wedding boutonnieres, corsages and arrangements. May include the colors, red, lilac, yellow, pink and orange. Used for 7th Wedding Anniversaries. Also symbolizes innocence and thoughtfulness.
Full sun, rich soil and good drainage are essential to get these to bloom. Must be planted/started when temperatures are at 45-50° at night (for at least 4-6 weeks) with full sun at day. It will take approximately 6-8 weeks before growth appears.

How to Plant Freesia Bulbs?
To plant Freesia Bulbs the bulbs should be planted with the nose of the bulb upward (or the roots facing downwards) and the Mixed Freesia should be planted roughly 2-3" deep and 3-4" apart from one another.
Note: For some bulbs you may not be able to tell which way is up or down, in these cases just plant them on their side and they will adjust on their own.
When to Plant Mixed Freesia?
Freesia Bulbs are normally planted SPRING, and most Mixed Freesia will begin to flower sometime in Mid Summer.
