The blooms of the 'Fancy Frills' Tulips are truly unique: its petals begin pure white at the base and eventually turn to a dark, almost heavenly pink at the fringed edges. Opposite of most! This is a great tulip for adding different heights in your spring garden since it doesn't get quite as tall as the majority of those of its type. How to Plant Fringed Tulip Bulbs?
 

To plant Fringed Tulip Bulbs the bulbs should be planted with the nose of the bulb upward (or the roots facing downwards) and the Fancy Frills Fringed Tulip should be planted roughly 6-8" deep and 4-6" apart from one another.

Note: For some bulbs you may not be able to tell which way is up or down, in these cases just plant them on their side and they will adjust on their own.

When to Plant Fancy Frills Fringed Tulip?
  Fringed Tulip Bulbs are normally planted Late Fall, and most Fancy Frills Fringed Tulip will begin to flower sometime in Mid Spring.
