A few carefully chosen shrubs make up the framework of every well-designed garden. For a short time they are standing in the spotlights: when they start to bloom or maybe later in the season when their leaves turn into bright fall colours. However, for the larger part of the year, they are a reliable background for all the surrounding plants. Vain tulips and ambitious Alliums could not wish for anything better.
