Late spring blooms are bright magenta red and pink. Kansas Peony is a classic favorite with large, fragrant showy blooms. Kansas Peony is often revered as one of the best double red peonies. Peonies are deer and rabbit resistant, and generally very low maintenance. Kansas Peony makes an excellent cut flower, and would look stunning planted with Immortality Bearded Iris.

Awesome Kansas peony

I bought the bulb on sale, and the next sping I got the most beautiful multiple huge flowers, from that one peony division with multiple eyes. I loved the color and strong stems of Kansas, although no detectable fragrance, hoping for the fragrance next spring! Great!

This peony arrived in the fall as promised. I planted it in our flower bed with some compost and bone meal, and this spring she produced healthy foliage and a flower! Typically, newly planted peonies can take a couple seasons to bloom, so I’m very happy! The color is a deep red/pink, and the foliage is a deep green. I’m looking forward to more blooms next peony season!
