Features of Species or Group:

  Native to Iran, Asia Minor and spreading into the Caucasus. One of the most popular spring-flowering bulbs. This plant has star-shaped flowers.

Features of Genus:

  The most familiar Scillas are the dwarf varieties that flower in early spring. Scilla have starry or bell- shaped blue or white flowers in early spring.

How to Plant Scilla Bulbs?

 

To plant Scilla Bulbs the bulbs should be planted with the nose of the bulb upward (or the roots facing downwards) and the Scilla Siberica - Siberian Squill should be planted roughly 2" deep and 2" apart from one another.

Note: For some bulbs you may not be able to tell which way is up or down, in these cases just plant them on their side and they will adjust on their own.

When to Plant Scilla Siberica - Siberian Squill?

  Scilla Bulbs are normally planted Late Fall, and most Scilla Siberica - Siberian Squill will begin to flower sometime in Mid Spring.
