Very nice bulb. Has popped up in the garden and I look forward to seeing it bloom for the first time.

So far, so good!

These rhizomes were harvested and packaged overseas - I guess Holland. They arrive in a sock of plastic netting and are very clean - and quite dry. Before planting the iris, I soaked it for several hours in cool water.

I purchased around a dozen rhizomes and they were all similarly packaged. They've been in the ground for about 3 weeks and, while it is now mid-October, they've gotten greener and have grown a bit. They are clearly viable and are busy establishing roots in advance of winter.

The only downside is that these were, by several weeks, the latest arriving irises that I bought in 2020. They were a week away from missing September entirely. Things will work out for my zone, but I still would have preferred an early September arrival.

Wrong Rhizome

Pros:
  • Wrong Rhizomes
Cons:
Careful what you order. The wrong rhizome will arrive and after it grows it's too late for a refund.
