The tuberose is a very interesting and unique bulb to grow in the sunny summer garden. Growing 18-24" tall, the Polianthes tuberosa produces gorgeous white flowers on spike which are extremely fragrant. Since this sweet fragrance (resembling that of a jasmine flower) lingers so long after cutting, this is a perfect flower to cut and place in a vase in your home!

How to Plant Specialty Bulbs?
 

To plant Specialty Bulbs the bulbs should be planted with the nose of the bulb upward (or the roots facing downwards) and the Tuberose - Polianthes tuberosa should be planted roughly 2-3"" deep and 3-6"" apart from one another.

Note: For some bulbs you may not be able to tell which way is up or down, in these cases just plant them on their side and they will adjust on their own.

When to Plant Tuberose - Polianthes tuberosa?
  Specialty Bulbs are normally planted Mid Spring, and most Tuberose - Polianthes tuberosa will begin to flower sometime in Mid Spring.
