4.71 stars, based on 7 reviews
The blooms of Ranunculus look like large Buttercups. They are great for containers, for the cottage garden, and make a great cut flowering. Ranunculus are best for fall planting in warm climates, such as hardiness zones 8-10. Ranunculus should not...

Overall, the corms were large and healthy, except the orange. There were only 10 of each color not 25. However, customer service regarding this matter was excellent.

For someone who knows very little about growing ranunculus in zone 7a (or in any zone for that matter), I was very impressed with how these did. I just planted them in the fall, covered with mulch, and waited for them to bloom in the spring. They didn't all bloom, but that was user error. A significant amount did, and if I had put more effort into them, I'm sure I would have had more success.

Pros:
  • Great value
  • Unique colors
Cons:
  • Finicky
  • Not many fluffy doubles
I was so excited to plant these. I got them in winter and planted them in February, zone 8b. They all plumped up very nicely with the presoak and sprouted indoors. We get heavy rain which I think had a negative affect on my corms, but most of them still bloomed at least once. There were some unique colors mixed in, like a salmon with curly petals and a couple of picotee. They didn't seem very double and fluffy like the picture showed, but they were still pretty. I saved the corms and plan to plant again. A good value for a beautiful flower if you have the right growing conditions.
