Purple Rain Salvia is a low maintenance perennial best for sunny locations. Purple Rain salvia is upright in habit, maturing at 24-30". Purple spires of blooms can be seen early summer through late summer on Purple Rain Salvia. Removing spent flowers, helps to encourage a longer bloom season. This perennial root will return and remain in your garden for many years. Salvia plants do well in dry soil, and once established are drought tolerant, be sure the soil they are planted in drains well. Attract butterflies to your garden with salvia. Easy to grow, perennial salvia is also deer resistant.

    • growth habit
    • rich and thick
    Cons:
    • None as of yet
This is my favorite, and I have several types. The color is vibrant and rich, growing habit is compact and full! The pollinators are crazy for it as well. It is still a first year planting, but has so much promise! I am very excited about this one and want to definitely buy more of these.
