I love this double Amaryllis

These Amaryllis bulbs were the best quality I've every received and they are delivered in a very nice burlap gift bag....very pleased.

My only suggestion would be to add more packing when shipping, since I ordered later in the season the buds were up and the tips were bent and bruised - but still bloomed nicely.

Amaryllis can be very long lived, but I chose to make easy care waxed bulbs as gifts this year. A GREAT hit! I will do it again, but order earlier as this Christmas gift is instead reminding my giftees that I love them on St. Valentine's Day.

This one grew and bloomed. Of course, it was free and not waxed or spiked with metal bases.

Upon unboxing this amaryllis bulb, the movie Jaws came to mind: "I need to buy a bigger vase". It simply did not fit any of my vases, even those reserved for "XL" bulbs from other suppliers.



"What the heck is that?!?" My plant aficionado buddy asked. I had to show the plant tag as proof. Never had such a large amaryllis bulb been seen by any of us.



The blooms continued for months. Over and over and over... It became comical. We joked about it starting to pay rent.

"Another?"

"Yup"

"But it's Easter. Isn't this supposed to only be a Christmas thing?"

"If I spoke 'Amaryllis', I would be happy to tell him"



After the blooms finally ended, we planted him in the garden bed outside to help give him more energy for next season. I think I might need to buy a bathtub to put him in for his Christmas 2026 display given this past performance.
