The root is firm, fresh, with 4 eyes, but the size is quite small. I bought it when it's on sale, so overall it's not bad. Anxious to see how it would grow in spring.

I ordered this with another peony and received a broken root with 2 eyes. Called customer service and they sent a replacement which had 4 eyes!



I will post again when it (hopefully) sprouts in spring… can’t wait!

The roots were high quality and they have since come up and are growing nicely.

Bloomed this past Spring...first year after planting! Absolutely beautiful color, medium pink with darker pink 'freckles'. Nice bloom form that stood up well to rain. So pleased I ordered it!

The root I received was quite small and appeared dead with two very small dried shriveled eyes, but after submerging in tap water in a mason jar for 2 days, the root was firm, plump and had 2 new pink eyes pushing out. I planted in a pot for the winter and in spring, replanted in its permanent location. The plant pushed up several healthy leaves on one small, but strong stalk. Due to the roots very small size, I predict it will be several years before this peony gives flowers, but I am glad that I did not pay full price, but rather got this at the end of the season and at a discounted price.
