All three plants coming up nicely

Pros:
  • strong
Cons:
This is my first time ever trying Dahlias and I'm so happy that they're already coming up strong. I'm glad I watched some videos online about how to plant because the tubers are fragile and I learned how to plant 'em safely. They were packed in wood shavings and survived the shipment without any issues and in great condition. I planted them the day after receiving them. So far, so good -- looking forward to seeing them bloom!

Daisy-like small dahlia

Rating:
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
Pros:
  • Small
  • many flowers
Cons:
  • small flowers
I chose this dahlia for a window box that hangs by my fence gate because it is short. The 3 tubers all grew and are filling up the planter. The flowers are small, daisy-like flowers and are plentiful. It's really a cheerful dahlia!

Nice but more color is not salmon -- it's pink

Pros:
Cons:
These flowers stand up high above the leaves and are quite showy. We planted 3 two seasons ago and 2 are still going strong. I live in climate area 10 and found it's better just to leave them in the ground during the winter. The petal color is not salmon; instead, they are pink.

I ordered 3 bulbs; 2 of the 3 are growing great. The 3rd one isn’t growing that fast, hoping that will change. Thought maybe too much sun - it’s been really hot here.
