I got these on the buy one get one deal. The bags were packed full. Some of the rhizomes didn't look so hot and some had sprouted already. I ended up planting 7 rhizomes in pots. Lost 2 to squirrels, have 3 that are growing (2 very large bushy plants, one a bit more runty), and two that are still dormant but do seem to be healthy.

One package has three clump, each has an extra long shoots ; one is not that good, I only got one healthy looking clump, the store sent a replacement, worse quality but they give full credit of the replacement which is very generous of them. Initially I was worried about the quality because of the internet stories. I planted the long shoot ones in pot for quarantine, and rabbits eat them— They did the pinch I hesitate to do, currently I have 4 healthy looking mom’s special plants , sturdy stem. I still keep them in pots , and will transplant to larger 10 gallon planting bags, which is my rule for all first year Dahlia. Will update once they starts flowering!
