Foxtail lilies also known as Desert Candles are perfect for cut flower gardens. This mixture of perenial bulbs includes orange, yellow, and cream. Each pack offers a different combination of color. Don't miss out on these early summer blooms!

Best when planted in full sun and very well drained soil. Plant in raised beds, or improve soil quality with organic matter.

Plant in a sunny location with soil that drains well. Foxtail Lily prefer sandy soil, if your soil is on the heavy side you will need to add organic matter to loosen it up. The dormant roots of Foxtail Lilies are large, and sprawling, often 6-8"+ in diameter. When preparing the planting location dig out the area 12" or more to allow for adequate space for the roots to grow and spread. The planting hole does should be shallow, planting only approximately 2" deep. In cold climates such as hardiness zone 5 and 6 be sure to add mulch for winter protection.

I've been wanting some of these foxtail lilies for quite a few years and last year when I got these they were on sale. I bought two orders of them and a few came up but didn't bloom but the ones that did are just breathtaking. I'd love to leave a pic if I could

I've never ordered foxtail lilies before and was totally surprised by these large octopus-looking roots. They were really plump and healthy, but incredibly fragile. They arrived in great condition, but I accidentally broke some root ends while planting. They required a lot more room than regular bulbs (I ended up digging holes roughly a foot long), but on the plus side the holed didn't need to be very deep.
